Steven Shmerler

After SHS, I went to U/Denver for psych/skiing and then Berklee College of Music (Boston '73). I stopped playing guitar professionally in '77, moved to NYC for work and marketing at NYU. Got hired at RCA Records in '78, Chrysalis (LA) '80 and Arista (NYC) '86 as head of marketing/creative services.

I started my own marketing firm specializing in music tour sponsorships in '88, moved back to LA in '90, retired from the "biz" & started learning HTML in '94 and have been building websites ever since. My company, Sasnet Design, has built sites for all kinds of folks from film studios, to doctors to Ray Charles. I've taught at UCLA Extension and am very involved in the LA Internet community serving on various Internet boards.

It's very exciting being part of something as profound as the invention of the printing press or possibly even the wheel. I'm currently co-writing a book on the Net (big surprise).

I'm still in touch and close with a number of friends from SHS some of whom can be seen at a moderately recent gathering.

I've been fortunate to have crossed the paths of some amazing artists, visionaries, healers and teachers over these past 30 yrs. But then, everyone's a teacher when we listen...
